Austin’s longest-running summer concert series, Blues on the Green, returns June 9 and 10 at Zilker Park. Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to gather for the free event’s 35th year running.
Hosted by Waterloo Media, the lineup features Austin-based musical acts across various genres. The park and food vendors will open at 5:30 p.m. with performances starting at 7 p.m.
Blues on the Green is a free community concert series hosted annually on Zilker Park’s Great Lawn. Music lovers gather with friends, family and pets on picnic blankets to enjoy two quintessential summer evenings.
Once a celebration of blues, the event now features artists across genres, from rock and country to soul and Latin rhythms.
If you want your show with dinner, [multiple vendors](https:// waterloomedia. com/ vendors-sponsors/) will be there serving burritos, hot dogs, barbecue and more. Alcohol is also available in a designated areas.
Country artist Kylie Hernandez kicks off the Tuesday performances, followed by Americana sounds from Aaron Behrens. Alejandro Escovedo, the San Antonio-born rock musician who’s been touring since the 1970s, will headline Tuesday’s event.
On Wednesday, the event starts with a performance from rock band Nik Parr & The Selfless Lovers. Mama Duke, the Austin rapper of “America’s Got Talent” fame, will then take the stage. Latin psych-funk band Brownout will headline Wednesday’s event.
Expect traffic adjustments around Zilker Park at 2100 Barton Springs Road on both Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Road closures are scheduled to be in effect both days and could cause delays.

- Lou Neff Road will be fully closed from Barton Springs Road to Stratford Drive, starting at 6 a.m. June 8 and ending at noon June 12.
- Andrew Zilker Road will be fully closed from Loop 1 Frontage North to Loop 1 Frontage South, starting at 6 p.m. and ending at 11:59 p.m. June 9 and 10.
- Stratford Drive will be fully closed from Barton Springs Road to Andrew Zilker Road, starting at 6 p.m. and ending at 11:59 p.m. June 9 and 10.
- Azie Morton Road's northbound lane will become a right-turn-only from Lund Street to Barton Springs Road, starting at 9 p.m. and ending at 11:59 p.m. June 9 and 10.
Limited on-site parking will be available for purchase. Parking passes will be sold online for $25 per car for the Zilker Park Polo Tables Picnic Area and the Stratford Lot.
Parking lots open at 5 p.m. and may sell out in advance. There is no parking in the neighborhoods around Zilker Park. Towing and ticketing will be enforced.
For concertgoers who want to avoid the parking hassle, public transportation options are available through Capital Metro. Routes 3 and 30 of the Metrobus, as well as MetroRapid Route 803, offer access to areas near Zilker Park. Children ride free on all Capital Metro services. Attendees are encouraged to utilize use the CapMetro app and Trip Planner for detailed transit directions.
If you prefer biking over, bicycle racks will be situated at various points within Zilker Park. Information regarding MetroBike and personal bike parking locations will be available on the event's website.
If rideshare is more your speed, the best pick-up and drop-off location is 2107 Veterans Drive. Cross the pedestrian bridge over Lady Bird Lake and take a stroll to the Great Lawn from there.
