According to authorities, on Tuesday, an Austin man allegedly drove a stolen car head-on into a marked patrol car during a police pursuit in Kyle. The Kyle Police Department announced the arrest of 49-year-old Troy Rabago of Austin. Rabago reportedly stole a car and attempted to flee the scene before speeding into a parking lot at 60 mph, turning around, and colliding with the police car. Rabago has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault against a public servant, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and reckless driving. The investigation revealed that inside the stolen vehicle were more than 80 documents connected to someone else's identity and a credit card linked to fraudulent purchases reported a day earlier.
