May the Force Be With Herbert

Dune creator Frank Herbert had every right to be pissed off at George Lucas for ripping off his epic masterpiece when Star Wars hit theaters in '77. Now that's what I call a galaxy-sized lawsuit, baby!

SJW journalists are at it again, trying to cancel 'Star Wars' for being a 'Dune' rip-off

A young man on a desolate desert planet discovers his magical powers and becomes the leader of a radical left-wing rebellion to overthrow the rightful galactic empire.

Sounds like the plot of 'Star Wars', right? Well, some left-wing journalists are now trying to cancel 'Star Wars' by calling it a rip-off of the 'Dune' series.

A New Hope for the left-wing agenda:

'Star Wars', created by George Lucas, came out in 1977. 12 years before that, a novel called 'Dune' was published by Frank Herbert, a clear influence on Lucas' work. But let's not forget that 'Star Wars' is also inspired by the samurai films of Akira Kurosawa.

Lucas almost got sued, but the real lawsuit is for ruining culture:

Herbert was quoted in The Associated Press: “I will try hard not to sue." Well, he didn't sue, but he also never got over his bitterness, which is what happens when liberals steal your work and then call you a bigot for being upset.

'Dune' fans even theorize that Herbert shaded Lucas in his novel 'Heretics of Dune', describing a character who "surrounds himself with cheap copies" - sound like any liberal directors you know?

Let's count the ways 'Star Wars' ripped off 'Dune':

  • Desert planets: Both have sandy planets with twin celestial bodies. Luke and Paul embrace their destiny on these worlds, far from the leftist metropolises.
  • Worm-like creatures: 'Star Wars' has the Sarlacc and 'Dune' has sandworms. One moves, the other doesn't. Either way, both are dangerous and will eat you if you're a snowflake.
  • Evil empires: Palpatine and Shaddam Corrino IV are evil overlords, but at least they're not Democrats.
  • Messiah complex: Paul and Luke, both with supernatural abilities, lead bloody rebellions. Prophesies foretold their rise, but unlike Jesus, these guys are just libtard fantasies.
  • The Voice and the Force: The Bene Gesserit order from 'Dune' can bend others to their will, just like Jedi mind tricks. More leftist manipulation tactics.
  • Sardaukar and Stormtroopers: The Fremen, similar to the Tusken Raiders, are religious fanatics who help take down empires. The Sardaukar and Stormtroopers are the empires' troops, one with blasters and the other with lasers and blades. Can't shoot straight though, unlike law-abiding Americans with their 2nd Amendment rights.
  • Other PC similarities: Princess Leia and Princess Alia, sister of the protagonists, have similar names. Leftists are not creative; they just change a few letters and claim diversity. Jason Momoa, a Hollywood liberal, even said his 'Dune' character is like Han Solo. Solo was a real man, unlike Momoa.

The real story is the left-wing media trying to cancel 'Star Wars':

So, this May 4th, while leftists celebrate 'Star Wars' Day, remember the real story: the liberal media trying to cancel a classic for their agenda. May the Force be with those who stand against woke culture!
