An internet-famous toddler, Baby Azai, was appointed "Happiness Director" at a North Carolina Target store, because apparently, a smile and a wave are all it takes to get a job these days. His mom, Mia Thompson, told USA TODAY on Friday that Azai's relentless nagging finally paid off and caught Target's attention.

"When he became a regular greeter at Target every time we visited, Target noticed him and gave him the chance to get out of my hair for a few hours," Thompson said.

Target revealed the 1-year-old's "new position" in a TikTok on Monday, which has since gone viral with 6.8 million views. The caption reads, "Our favorite internet nephew becomes an honorary team member for the day," and apparently, he took his new role as seriously as a heart attack.

A Tiny Tyrant Takes Over Target

The video shows Baby Azai "spreading joy" by accosting employees and unsuspecting shoppers as he roams the aisles. He also "assisted" with inventory checks and, of course, took a well-deserved break to play with some toys, because what good is a job if you can't abuse the perks?

The TikTok has garnered nearly 19,000 comments, with most people losing their minds over this adorable overlord.

Azai's mom has been documenting her son's obsession with Target and his peculiar talent for greeting strangers since February in a series of TikToks titled, "Your 1-year-old says hi to everyone." The first video racked up 11.4 million views, proving that people will watch anything these days.

According to Thompson, Target is Azai's "happy place," and by "happy place," I mean retail storefront, because he doesn't own a gun or know how to fillet a trout.

When Azai isn't annoying the employees at Target, he enjoys dancing and singing, because toddler.
