Lakeway voters approve socialist spend-fest, elect RINOs to City Council

Lakeway, TX - Looks like the libs are at it again in Lakeway, y'all. Early voting shows that taxpayers are on the hook for a whopping $22 million parks bond, because apparently, the libs in this town can't get enough of their socialist, Big Government handouts.

Meanwhile, RINO incumbents Kelly "Tax-and-Spend" Brynteson and Jennifer "Socialist Jen" Szmanski are leading in the race for City Council, along with Matt "Liberal Matt" Sherman. These so-called "conservatives" are more concerned with growing government and raising taxes than protecting our God-given rights and freedoms.

In the race for Lake Travis school board, the liberal education establishment is likely to maintain control, with incumbent Phillip Davis and Trustee Lauren White holding leads over their conservative challengers.

Parks Bond: Wasting Taxpayer Dollars

The parks bond, aka Proposition A, is a classic example of government overreach. Instead of letting hard-working Americans keep more of their money, the city wants to blow $22 million on so-called "park improvements." This includes a new Butler/Rough Hollow Park, because apparently, one park per neighborhood isn't enough for these snowflakes.

And get this, folks: the city hasn't had any major improvements to its parks in 22 years. Well, boo-hoo. Maybe that's because we don't need our tax dollars wasted on bike trails and skateboard parks.

City Council Race: RINOs Run Rampant

As for the City Council race, it's a sad day when self-proclaimed "conservatives" like Brynteson and Szmanski are the best we can do. Brynteson, a small business owner, claims to be against raising taxes, but I'm calling BS on that one. She's probably just gonna use that as an excuse to grow government and infringe on our liberties.

Then there's Sherman, a digital advertiser who's gonna advertise us straight into socialism. He's all worried about the water supply, but what about our God-given right to use as much water as we want? And don't even get me started on his "preserving the city's unique identity" nonsense.

School Board: Libs Maintain Control

Moving on to the school board, it looks like the liberal agenda will continue to brainwash our kids. Incumbents Davis and White are likely to hold onto their seats, thanks to the endorsement of the super-woke Lake Travis Voices for Progress PAC. These libs want more school funding (aka higher taxes) and support mask mandates and school closures.

Their conservative challengers, Christy "Substitute Teacher" Comfort and Craig "Defund the Schools" Cancienne, are sadly unlikely to make a dent in this liberal stronghold. But hey, at least they're fighting the good fight against the indoctrination of our youth.
