Round Rock, a True-Blue Townie's Take: Lefties Lose Bigly, Common Sense Wins

Melissa Fleming, a wealth advisor, is tearin' up the polls and kickin' Alan Simms' Rio Grande Tex-Mex restaurant-ownin' behind in the race for Place 3 on our city council. Early votes give her a wide lead with 68.6% to Simms' pathetic 31.4%.

But enough about these newbies, let's talk about what really matters: our city charter amendments! Proposition A, all about sortin' out the Municipal Court judges and money, is whippin' tails with 1,695 votes for and only 252 against. Proposition B, cuttin' red tape for plat approval, is also kickin' butt at 1,362-556.

In other news, the population of our fine town is boomin' like a good ol' Fourth of July firework display. Officials predict we'll hit 194,151 residents by 2040, but I ain't buyin' it. Y'all know how these liberals love to exaggerate.

Fleming, the apparent winner of this race, thinks the biggest issues we face are public safety, keepin' our roads maintained, and makin' sure Round Rock don't lose its small-town feel. She also wants to tackle traffic and water supply, which I reckon are just fancy ways of sayin' she'll keep our conservative values while them lefties try to turn Texas blue.

This mama grizzly started the Cure Starts Now foundation, aka Team Brock, for her son who passed away from brain cancer. Simms, on the other hand, is all about adressin' traffic and drug abuse, whatever that means.

As for those charter amendments, the first one's all about makin' sure our Municipal Court judges are straight shooters and that fines go where they're supposed to. The second amendment is cuttin' government red tape so regular folks like you and me can get things done without jumpin' through a bunch of bureaucratic hoops.

Yee-haw, folks, and remember: keep Round Rock red, white, and blue!
