Amber Alert: Baby Eleia Maria Torres Abducted by Gunman Who Killed Her Mother, Another Woman in Clovis, NM

CLOVIS, NM — Police in New Mexico have issued an Amber Alert for 10-month-old Eleia Maria Torres, who was abducted by the gunman who shot and killed her mother, 23-year-old Samantha Cisneros, and another young woman, 23-year-old Taryn Allen. The bodies of the two women were found in Ned Houk Park, north of Clovis, on Friday afternoon, and officers believe Eleia is in immediate danger.

When officers arrived at the park, they found the two women lying on the ground next to a silver Dodge minivan, both with gunshot wounds. A young girl, whose identity has not been released, was also found at the scene with a gunshot wound to the head. She is currently being treated in the hospital, and her condition is unknown at this time.

"It's a tragic situation all around"

Investigators are still piecing together the events that led to the shooting, but they have urged the public to come forward with any information that could help identify the perpetrator and bring him to justice.

"It's a tragic situation all around," said one officer, who wished to remain anonymous. "We're doing everything we can to locate Baby Eleia and make sure this gunman doesn't hurt anyone else."

Baby Eleia is described as 28 inches tall, weighing 23 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. Her mother, Samantha Cisneros, and Taryn Allen were both from the small town of Texico, just 10 miles east of Clovis. Officers found a baby stroller, bottle, and car seat at the scene, indicating that Eleia had been with her mother at the park.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Clovis Police Department at 575–769–1921. Those who wish to remain anonymous can submit a tip through the police department's tip411 program by visiting www.police.cityofclovis.org.

Update: Vigil Planned for Victims

As the community grapples with the tragic loss of two young women and the abduction of Baby Eleia, a vigil is being planned to honor the victims and show solidarity with those affected by this senseless act of violence. The vigil is expected to take place in the coming days, with details to be announced soon.

In the meantime, Eleia's father, Mario Torres, released a statement pleading for the safe return of his daughter:

"My beautiful baby girl is out there somewhere, and I just want her back home where she belongs. Please, if anyone knows anything, come forward and help bring Eleia back to her family. We are heartbroken and devastated, but we haven't lost hope. We will not rest until we find her."

The community of Clovis, along with people across New Mexico, are urged to keep an eye out for Baby Eleia and to spread the word through social media and other platforms to increase the chances of finding her safely.

As this developing story unfolds, we will continue to bring you updates and ways to take action to support the victims' families and help bring justice to light. Stay vigilant, and let's bring Baby Eleia home.
