Houston, we have a new approach: NASA has stepped back from space exploration, encouraging private companies to take over.
The Winner: SpaceX, Elon Musk's brainchild, has received over $2 billion from the government for testing new technologies.
Texas Still Center Stage: Boca Chica, TX, hosted its fourth SpaceX launch on June 6 - a successful test of the Starship, SpaceX's flagship development.

A Rundown of SpaceX's Starship Launches:
April 2023: First launch. Success until 24 miles above the Gulf of Mexico when leaking propellant caused a fire, resulting in loss of communication and control. The craft was detonated.
November: Starship reached space but faced liquid oxygen supply issues, resulting in engine failure and loss of the vehicle.
Controversies:
Sexual Harassment Lawsuit: Eight female engineers sue SpaceX, alleging a "pervasively sexist culture" and illegal retaliation for speaking out.
Environmental Concerns: Environmental groups have filed a complaint with the FAA over the environmental impacts of Starship launches from SpaceX's Starbase facility in southern Texas.
