Another Suspect Arrested in Alleged ISIS-Linked Plot to Attack Taylor Swift Concert

Austrian officials have arrested an 18-year-old Iraqi national in connection with the suspected terrorist plot to attack a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna. The Interior Minister revealed the news during an unrelated press conference, saying the suspect is from the same circle as the main suspect, a 19-year-old Austrian who pledged allegiance to ISIS and planned to use bladed weapons and explosives.

"He wanted to carry out an attack in the area outside the stadium, killing as many people as possible using the knives or even using the explosive devices he had made," said national intelligence head Omar Haijawi-Pirchner.

Police also arrested a 17-year-old employed by a facility management company who would have been on duty during the concert, and detained a 15-year-old for questioning. The three sold-out shows were canceled, with tickets refunded.

During a search of the 19-year-old suspect's home, authorities found bomb-making instructions, machetes, and various substances and devices that could be used to manufacture explosives.
