Fund Texas Teachers

Show me your papers, Comrade! The powers-that-be are demanding we conform and submit. We need to stand against the oppression of the governing class and their discerning media mouthpieces.

Texas, it's time to pay teachers a living wage

As reported by the Statesman, Austin-Bergstrom airport workers struck for higher pay. Their current annual gross salary: $43,264 for 40 hrs/week work. A Texas teacher with 10 years' experience makes $45,630. Starting salary is $33,660. Teachers often work unpaid extra hours, buy supplies, and attend unpaid workshops. They're barred from unionizing or striking. Texas, value your teachers!

Public school funding starts with your vote

Texas Republicans have consistently underfunded public schools, contrary to the Texas Constitution, which mandates an "efficient system of public free schools." Commissioner of Education Mike Morath recently testified that student numbers are expected to stagnate. To support Texas' public schools, vote for candidates in November who promise adequate funding.

Uvalde, gun control, and law enforcement failure

The Statesman's Uvalde shooting report omitted key details: The teenage shooter legally bought weapons/ammo from a local shop. How is this still legal when most Americans support gun control? The media and lawmakers must keep asking: Why is warzone weaponry easily accessible? Why did law enforcement fail to stop the Uvalde shooter and the recent Trump assassination attempt?
