FDA Goes Full Karen, Demands BVO Removal, Citing 'Adverse Effects'

The FDA is at it again, trying to control what we put in our bodies. This time, they're coming for our soda. That's right, the nanny state wants to ban brominated vegetable oil (BVO), a common ingredient in some soft drinks, citing some supposed "safety concerns."

"We will continue to monitor and take action," said Jim Jones, likely while twirling his mustache.

Here's the real scoop: BVO has been used for years to keep our beloved citrus-flavored drinks tasting great. But now, the FDA is claiming it's not safe, even though there's little evidence to support this claim. Classic government overreach if you ask me!

So, Which Sodas are in the Clear and Which Ones are Gonna get the Boot?

What Even is BVO?

The so-called "dangerous" ingredient is a simple vegetable oil with a twist of bromine. It's been used to keep our drinks stable and delicious since the good ol' days. But now, the FDA says it might cause "negative health effects." Funny how they didn't seem to care about this back in 1970!

But hey, if you're still worried, just remember: the government is always right...
