Texas Man Tasered to Death by Cops

A Texas man, Dennis Thornton, 43, of Leander, met his maker after a tangle with the long arm of the law in San Marcos, TX. It all started with some concerned (and likely liberal) folks calling the cops on Thornton for "acting erratically" on an I-35 overpass.

"He was lying on the edge of the overpass, throwing objects, and yelling."

The first officer to arrive on the scene attempted to make contact, but Thornton, in his wisdom, chose to keep his counsel and move towards the cop. The pig, I mean, officer, then backed off and told Thornton to get down. When Thornton ignored him, the cop did what any trigger-happy LE these days would do - he Tasered him.

It then took two whole minutes and multiple officers to cuff Thornton, who was now likely wondering what he had gotten himself into. They wrapped him up like a burrito in restraints, likely because he was still trying to exercise his freedom and escape.

Cops then tried to interrogate Thornton, but he chose to remain silent, probably realizing that anything he said could be used against him. They then took him to the hospital, likely to cover their asses, claiming they thought he was having a medical emergency.

Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, Thornton passed away. You'll never guess what happened next - the pigs started to circle the wagons. The San Marcos PD has no fewer than three investigations ongoing, and the Texas Rangers are alsonosing around.

As for the family, they're staying tight-lipped. Can't say I blame 'em. As for the cops, they'll no doubt be holding a press conference to try and spin this. My advice? Don't hold your breath for the truth.
