When farmer Braden Smith cruises through Idaho Falls in his Tesla Cybertruck, he's met with a mix of opinions. Some give him the middle finger, presumably for his shiny, futuristic truck, while others offer a thumbs-up. But don't be fooled by the divisive reactions; this self-proclaimed nice guy has gone viral for embracing an unlikely pairing: the sleek, futuristic Cybertruck and the rugged, traditional world of farming.

A Modern-Day Farmer With A High-Tech Twist

Smith, 34, is not your typical farmer. He's traded in his F-250 for a Cybertruck, and he's not looking back. He justifies the purchase due to the 50-amp plug, which powers his welder and plasma compressor, and feels the truck ticks most of the boxes for his farming needs. It's just a shame it looks like it rolled out of your kitchen.

This modern-day farmer went viral on TikTok, with a video of singing cats amassing 16 million views. Since then, he's been monetizing his content, and his latest venture includes his Cybertruck.

Coal-Fed and Green?

While Smith didn't buy the Cybertruck to 'go green,' he's saving fuel and turning heads with his license plate, 'Coal Fed.' The minor drawbacks include towing capabilities and perplexed onlookers, but Smith enjoys the unique vehicle, describing it as "really fast" and "fun to drive."

The Cybertruck: A Glimpse Into The Future

The Tesla Cybertruck, introduced by Elon Musk in 2019, is an electric pickup truck built for adventure. But it's had its fair share of recalls, including windshield wiper and trunk bed trim issues. Despite this, Smith believes Cybertrucks could appeal to farmers, especially with more affordable models. So the next time you see a stainless steel fridge cruising by, don't be too quick to judge; it might just be a farmer embracing the future.
