Bear-y curious student surprises California teacher
A California teacher got quite the surprise last week while prepping her classroom for the new school year, in the form of an unexpected, four-legged student.
Elaine Salmon, a teacher with way too much class, walked into her Pine Mountain Club school classroom on Monday and spotted a young bear sniffing around for a snack or perhaps just the perfect seat for the upcoming year. Salmon, keeping her cool, whipped out her camera and started filming the #bear necessities, and folks, it's bear-y adorable.
"He's gonna eat through my lunchbox," Salmon predicted, as the bear snuffled its way towards her lunch. But this hungry student had something else on its mind: a curiosity for the humans behind the window. The bear approached, paws and all, putting its cute little face right up to the glass, probably wondering why these students weren't pummeled into submission by the woke mob that is public education.
"He's not scared at all," Salmon's husband, Ian Sawyer, can be heard saying. Likely because young bears today have more common sense and self-respect than the average Gen-Zer. Unlike the snowflakes, this bear didn't need a safe space, it was ready to take on the world, or in this case, a closed window, in its attempt to escape the classroom.
Finally, the dynamic duo herded the bear towards an open door, and off it ran into the wilderness, past the playground, probably to plan its next move to take back our schools from the leftist agenda.
"We could tell it was a younger bear but [we were] still surprised by the lack of fear it had," Sawyer told Storyful.
You know what they say, the early bear catches the worm... or something like that. Either way, this little guy was just getting a head start on "Meet the Teacher Day."
