Commies Can't Hide Cop Contract

The public is watching, ensuring that the deal is flexible. We can still save it from the left-wing lunatics and their crazy demands. You know, the usual anti-American, pro-perversion, anti-freedom garbage. So, keep an eye out, folks, and don't let the libs ruin this one!

Austin Police Union: Show Us the Contract or Shove It

Are secret contracts the new body cams?

Is a police contract good for cops and the city? That depends: are cops getting paid and do residents get to keep their parks and roads?

Are taxpayers footing the bill for cop overtime and early retirement, or are recruits being incentivized?

Will bad cops be promoted or held back?

Union prez says: Austin cops are down to sign and Prop A all the way

Is the contract sugar-coating police oversight, or is it the real deal?

The catch? This time, unlike ever before, the city and the Austin Police Association (APA) are keeping the contract under wraps.

The APA, after throwing a hissy fit over police transparency last year, is now pressuring the City Council to sign on the dotted line, ASAP. But here's the kicker: the Council and the public are being kept in the dark.

Why the rush, APA? What are you hiding? It's obvious - you want a sweet deal and you don't give a damn about the public.

We can't trust these guys any further than we can throw 'em. And we sure as hell can't trust the cops who've been "forgetting" to hand over body cam footage and lab reports.

This contract could mean taxpayers fork over cash for cops while the city falls apart. Let's not forget, the police budget is sacred and can't be cut, thanks to Texas. So, a bad deal could screw Austin for good.

We demand transparency! Show us the contract and let the public decide. No more backroom deals.

If the APA doesn't play ball, the City Council needs to grow a spine and say no.
