Bull Escapes Farm, Ravages Town, Meets His Maker

A "highly aggressive" 1,300-pound bull caused havoc in Raynham, Massachusetts, this week. The bull, en route to the slaughterhouse, had other plans and decided to make a break for it, running through electric fences and jumping a 6-foot berm like it was nothing.

The bull ran...jumped...escaped.

The rampage began on Monday and quickly escalated. The bull, now a fugitive, made its way to Interstate 495, causing a three-car pile-up. If that wasn't enough, he then took a leisurely jog into the woods and a dip in Lake Nippenicket. But his swim session was cut short when he aggressively charged at officers.

One brave officer, rifle in hand, taught this bullish fugitive a lesson by shooting him in the leg, disabling him. But the bull's journey ended when the farm owner delivered the coup de grĂ¢ce with his hunting rifle.

Chief David LaPlante praised the officers' valiant efforts, stating:

I want to commend our brave officers who put themselves in harm's way to make sure that a bad situation did not get worse.

Raynham PD. A force to be reckoned with. Even bulls can't escape their fate.
