Big Gov Can't Even Keep Our Data Safe!

So, you thought big government was there to protect you, huh? Well, think again. In April 2024, a hacking group called USDoD (probably Antifa-adjacent) stole the personal data of 2.9 billion Americans. That's right, 2.9 BILLION. And what did our beloved government do about it? They tried to sweep it under the rug! It's only now coming to light thanks to a class-action lawsuit filed in Florida.

The data, sold on the dark web for a measly $3.5 million, included names, addresses, and even Social Security numbers. You know, the sensitive stuff that the government vows to keep safe. Well, they failed miserably.

What Now, My Data's Out There?

First, don't panic. Well, panic a little bit, because this is a big freakin' deal. But then, follow these steps:

  1. Freeze your credit: Contact the big three credit bureaus — Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion — and put a freeze on your credit report. This will stop those commie hackers from opening new accounts in your name.
  2. Freeze your credit card: Call your credit card company and freeze your account. Sure, you might not be able to buy that new gun or ammo, but it's better than letting the hackers go on a shopping spree.
  3. Secure your data: Use strong passwords, enable two-factor authentication, and be careful on public Wi-Fi. Basically, do all the things the government should've been doing to keep your data safe in the first place.

Tips from the Texas AG:

  • Store documents safely: Keep your important documents in a secure location. Don't make it easy for the bad guys!
  • Limit what you carry: Leave your Social Security and Medicare cards at home. No need to give the lefties easy access.
  • Be cautious sharing info: Don't just give out your personal info willy-nilly. That's how they get ya!
  • Shred, shred, shred: Get yourself a nice "cross cut" shredder and go to town on those old documents.

Final Thoughts:

Well, there you have it, folks. Yet another example of big government failing the American people. Remember, they're not here to protect us; they're here to control us. It's up to us to take back our power and keep ourselves safe. Stay vigilant, my patriotic friends!
