Tesla reported its second straight quarterly drop in vehicle deliveries.

The Austin-based electric automaker reported Wednesday morning 384,122 vehicle deliveries during the second quarter of 2025, a little over 13% decline from the same quarter a year ago. Tesla reported 443,956 deliveries during the same period last year.

Tesla reported 373,728 deliveries of its Model 3 and Model Y vehicles and 10,394 deliveries of other models. Deliveries are the closest estimate of vehicle sales reported by Tesla.

Tesla reported production of 410,244 vehicles, 396,835 for Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, which is just a little under last year's production of 410,831 vehicles. According to Tesla's Wednesday report, the company also deployed 9.6 gigawatt-hours of energy storage products during the second quarter.

The company has faced growing competition from Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers and has struggled with political backlash stemming from CEO Elon Musk's prior ties to former President Donald Trump's administration.

Tesla will release its full second quarter financial results on July 23 after market close and will hold its webcast at 4:30 p.m. that day.
