Austin Specialty Pharmacy Expands After Paragon Closure

Austin specialty pharmacy AvevoRx is expanding its operations after the closure of Paragon Healthcare's compounding pharmacy. AvevoRx has taken over the pharmacy space left by Paragon and plans to serve patients in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. The pharmacy specializes in creating and delivering individualized treatments for complex conditions, such as specialized antibiotics and biologic medications for autoimmune diseases or chronic genetic disorders. The Austin team has been testing out a new machine, the Baxter ExactaMix Pro, which can mix up to two dozen different elements into a patient's personalized bag of nutrition in less than two minutes. The pharmacy expects to pass all its certifications and start shipping out medications within weeks.
