Texas downsizing: University Park ranks among best cities

A new study from Moving Place found that downsizing can be profitable in some cities, though results vary widely across the country. University Park, Texas, ranked No. 6 nationwide for cities where downsizing leaves homeowners with the biggest cash surplus. According to the study, homeowners in University Park could have about $542,641 left over after downsizing. Most Texans are left with more than $19,000 after downsizing their home.
