Forget peanuts and Cracker Jack — things are about to get bananas in Texas.

With trick plays, dance breaks and a wacky, high-energy spectacle that’s flipping baseball tradition on its head, Banana Ball is headed to the Lone Star State.

If you’ve never heard of the Bananas, think of them as the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball — where wild antics, nonstop entertainment and fan engagement take center stage. The traveling troupe features four teams: the Savannah Bananas, Party Animals, Firefighters and the new Texas Tailgaters.

Tickets sold out well before the season even began, drawing fans to professional sports venues nationwide with three NFL stadiums and 18 MLB parks on the schedule, including the iconic Yankee Stadium and Bank of America Stadium, the sixth-largest in the NFL.

When is Banana Ball coming to Texas? See dates and locations

With 111 games from February to October in the 2025 tour, Banana Ball is coming to four Texas cities this September.

Here’s when and where:

  • Frisco — Sept. 5–6: Texas Tailgaters vs. Party Animals at Riders Field
  • San Antonio — Sept. 12–13: Texas Tailgaters vs. Party Animals at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium
  • Round Rock — Sept. 19–20: Texas Tailgaters vs. Party Animals at Dell Diamond
  • Houston — Sept. 26–27: Savannah Bananas vs. Texas Tailgaters at Constellation Field (formerly Daikin Park)

Official tickets sold out. Are there other ways to get in?

Unfortunately, tickets sold out quickly through official channels and are no longer available directly from the team. But there may be other ways to watch the team:

  • StubHub sometimes lists resale tickets, though often at prices significantly higher than the $35 tickets originally sold by the team.
  • Facebook groups may have fans reselling or trading tickets.
  • Local stadium options, like the Frisco Roughriders, offer alternatives, such as partial season memberships, hospitality suites, and group packages, which are also available for Banana Ball games.

However, the team strongly discourages third-party purchases. As the Bananas warn: “Only tickets purchased through Fans First Tickets are guaranteed to be the real peel! Warning: Third-party tickets are often fraudulent and will not be accepted.”

If you do choose this route, make sure to verify that your tickets are real.

How to work a Banana Ball game in Texas

The process couldn't get any easier. Visit the Banana Ball website to find and complete the application.

“Are you enthusiastic, caring, and ready to bring the fun? Apply to work locally on the 2025 Banana Ball World Tour!” the application states. “Wherever Banana Ball goes, there are amazing, rockstar local Teammates helping make the magic happen. This is an incredibly fun, life-changing experience — a true blast and a half! But be ready: it’s a lot of time on your feet and, during the summer, a lot of time in the heat. Some of our hardest-working teammates have been 76 years young — so know your limits and bring your best energy!”

Then, the application itself is just as simple: insert your personal information and select the dates for your local city.

You’ll also answer some fun questions — like “What’s one thing on your bucket list?” and “Anything else you’d like us to know, like your favorite joke or favorite Wicked song?”

Note that the application does firmly state, "This is not a way to see a Banana Ball show - this is the way to work with us!"
