The Outlaw Music Festival's 10th-anniversary concert slated for July 1 at the Lucky Star Amphitheater in El Reno, Oklahoma, has been canceled due to extensive damage to band's equipment sustained during a severe weather event in Ridgedale, Missouri on June 29, according to an Instagram post from the tour. Refunds will be issued for the canceled show.
Will Willie Nelson's Fourth of July Picnic in Austin still happen?
The festival plans to resume the tour in Austin on July 4 for Willie Nelson’s Fourth of July Picnic.
The cancellation stems from an extreme weather incident on Sunday evening in Ridgedale, Missouri, at the Thunder Ridge Nature Arena. Heavy rains and high winds forced an evacuation and left much of the Outlaw Music Festival's equipment and the artists' instruments damaged and waterlogged.
"The potential damage has halted the festival production as they recover and replace what's necessary for the tour to resume," the Instagram post read. On Tuesday, a representative for Willie Nelson told the Statesman that the Fourth of July Picnic in Austin at the Circuit of the Americas will still go on as planned.
