Austin’s music community is contributing to relief efforts following tragic floods that ravaged the greater Central Texas area over the July 4 weekend.

Music venues and booking groups are organizing benefit shows. Local bands are even pledging to give money they earn from playing shows and merchandise sales to charity. Famous musicians have also been speaking out on the recent devastation.

Country crooner Robert Earl Keen vowed to donate 100% of his tour merchandise sales to flood relief efforts in his hometown. The singer-songwriter, who has a ranch in Kerrville, is in the process of organizing a benefit concert.
