The Greater Austin Comic Con is set to return to the H-E-B Center on July 19 and 20, offering a two-day immersion into the world of pop culture. The annual event aims to provide a space for fans of movies, TV, gaming, comics, anime and more, fostering an environment where different interests can converge.

This year's convention includes a range of activities and guest appearances, offering experiences for attendees of all ages. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster, starting at $61.80.

What to expect at Austin Comic Con? Pokémon Center, photo ops, more

The Greater Austin Comic Con is structured to include interactive sessions and opportunities for engagement with creators and personalities.

The event will host celebrity panels and autograph sessions, offering attendees direct interaction with figures from various pop culture realms. It will also feature creative showcases, with cosplay contests for different age groups, alongside artist sketch battles and makeup demonstrations.

The convention includes dedicated areas for gaming tournaments and a retro arcade lounge, catering to video game enthusiasts. A Pokémon Center and trading area will be available for collectors and players. For younger attendees, a Kids Activity Zone will feature magic shows, Lego building, science demonstrations and opportunities to meet costumed characters.

A vendor hall will feature a range of artists, independent creators, and sellers of collectibles and custom merchandise from across the country. Attendees can also expect a live Jedi experience, displays of themed show cars and various photo opportunities throughout the venue.

The 2025 Greater Austin Comic Con will host several individuals with backgrounds in combat sports who have ventured into pop culture. These include Kevin Von Erich, a WWE Hall of Famer with roots in Texas wrestling; Sgt. Slaughter, also a WWE Hall of Famer, who is known for his G.I. Joe association; Rampage Jackson, a former UFC champion and actor; and Riddick Bowe, a two-time world heavyweight boxing champion.

Marking the 35th anniversary of the 1990 "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" film, cast members Kenn Scott, Brian Tochi, Robbie Rist, Ernie Reyes Jr., James Saito, Kevin Clash, and Paige Turco are slated to appear.

The lineup also includes figures from the comic and voice acting industries, such as Sean Chen, a comic artist known for his work on "Iron Man" and "Wolverine" and Brian Posehn, a comedian, actor and writer with credits including "Deadpool."

Where can I park? What items are prohibited at the H-E-B Center?

Ample parking will be available in the lots surrounding the H-E-B Center and behind the convention center. A parking fee will be charged by the venue during the event weekend.

A security check, including a bag check, will be in place at the H-E-B Center entrance. Prohibited items include clear bags larger than 16x8x16 inches and non-clear bags larger than 5x9x2 inches, firearms, knives, weapons and objects that may be used as weapons, laptop computers and umbrellas larger than 12 inches.

Items not permitted at the show will not be held for later pickup and the arena's clear bag policy will be enforced.

Can I wear a costume to Austin Comic Con?

Greater Austin Comic Con maintains a family-friendly atmosphere, and a dress code is enforced for health and safety. This includes wearing proper attire at all times, such as shirts and appropriate footwear. Clothing featuring rude, vulgar or offensive language or graphics is not permitted.

Event management reserves the right to deny admission if attire is deemed inappropriate. Costumes and cosplay are encouraged, provided they adhere to the event's costume and cosplay policy.
