A familiar North Austin sports complex is getting a fresh look and a new identity as Tiger Woods’ mini-golf venture, PopStroke, prepares to take over operations at The Pitch. The revamp, which has been underway throughout the summer, promises to transform the hub near Parmer Field and the Austin FC training facility into an entertainment destination.

PopStroke is stepping in to fully manage the property at 13000 Harris Ridge Blvd.

While an exact opening date for the Austin location has not been announced, anticipation is building for its debut in September.

What to expect beyond the green

The renovations extend beyond the greens. PopStroke is constructing two new 18-hole mini-golf courses designed to mirror the technical aspects of a full-scale golf course, emphasizing skill over whimsical obstacles.

The existing dining experience will be revitalized and rebranded as BarTenders Eatery, complemented by the addition of an ice cream parlor. Event spaces are also getting an upgrade, with the inclusion of an esports gaming area and new conference rooms.

The pickleball courts will continue to be available, and new sand volleyball courts are being added. Guests will have the option of daily rates for activities or an all-access membership.

The move marks an evolution for the complex, which paused its normal operations in January.

PopStroke, which started in Florida in 2019, has expanded significantly. It's co-owned by golf icon Tiger Woods, former Wall Street executive Greg Bartoli and TaylorMade Golf Company. The Austin location will be the company’s 20th nationwide, joining a growing list of Texas venues including San Antonio, College Station, Houston, Dallas, and an upcoming spot in Cedar Park.
