Austin-based punk band Peelander-Z was involved in a severe crash outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico on Monday evening, leaving all three band members hospitalized, forcing the group to cancel the remainder of their tour. According to a Facebook post by its Austin-based record label, Chicken Ranch Records, all three band members were placed in intensive care and will remain in the hospital for some time. “Yellow” has opened his eyes and is breathing on his own, “Pink” is awake and being treated for multiple broken bones and “Tiger” is able to walk but is being monitored for possible head trauma. Chicken Ranch Records wrote, "We are floored by the outpouring of love and concern from friends and fans. We will share this with the band as soon as possible. Peelander loves you very very much." The label is setting up a GoFundMe for the group and will update fans about any upcoming benefit concerts. In February, the band's van was stolen from an apartment parking lot on E 45th St, later found on March 7 with a broken lock and a missing seat.
