Controversial rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is set to perform at San Antonio's Alamodome on July 4. The show is Ye's only Texas stop in a tour that includes dates in Tampa and Chicago before heading to Tirana, Albania. Despite calls from Florida senators Rick Scott and Ashley Moody to cancel Ye's Tampa shows over his antisemitic remarks, the concerts are set to proceed. The senators demanded that the Tampa Sports Authority cancel the events at Raymond James Stadium, citing Ye's self-identification as a Nazi. Tampa Sports Authority vice president Bobby Silvest denied the use of taxpayer money for the shows. As political pressure mounts, fans in Texas have been urged not to allow similar interference with the San Antonio concert. Ticket sales for the Alamodome show have yet to be announced, but fans can pre-register for a chance to win free tickets on Ye's official tour page.
