Austin police have arrested a 17-year-old suspect in connection with a March mass shooting that left four wounded at a bar on East Sixth Street.
The Austin Police Department said Troy Lee Tanksley was taken into custody on July 14 in relation to an unrelated violent offense. Authorities later charged the teen with committing a mass shooting, a first-degree felony.
The shooting occurred at about 1 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, at the downtown bar Lit Lounge, according to police.
Officers responding to the scene found four victims with gunshot wounds. Under federal guidelines, a mass shooting is defined as an incident in which four or more people are shot.
Tanksley is currently being held at the Travis County Jail. His bond has been set at $100,000.
