Southbound I-35 closed near Cesar Chavez after box truck rollover

Southbound Interstate 35 is closed around Cesar Chavez Street after a box truck rolled over early Sunday morning, according to Austin police.

Authorities said to expect delays on southbound roads throughout downtown Austin. The I-35 service road remains open. Traffic has been diverted to the frontage road starting at the Riverside Drive exit, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The road will remain closed while crews clean up the debris from the accident, police said.
