Horse-drawn carriages delivered Christmas trees to the Texas Capitol in Austin on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025. Three 7-foot Fraser firs and one 12-foot Fraser fir were donated courtesy of the Texas Christmas Tree Growers Association for the Texas House, Texas Senate, and the Governor’s Office. Representatives of Brungot Farms were greeted upon arrival by Patsy Spaw, Secretary of the Texas Senate, Elisabeth Burrows, the First Lady of the Texas House, and Cecilia Abbott, the First Lady of Texas. The tradition of the tree delivery has been ongoing since 1917.

Cecilia Abbott, the First Lady of Texas, admired the horses as the trees arrived and later gifted ornaments to representatives of Brungot Farms. Elisabeth Burrows, the First Lady of the Texas House, smiled during the delivery, while Patsy Spaw, Elisabeth Burrows, and Cecilia Abbott took a photo with the Brungot Farms representatives. The trees were unloaded from the carriages and placed at the Capitol, continuing the long-standing holiday tradition.
