AFD crews are battling a large apartment fire on West Anderson Lane in North Austin; a 3 p.m. briefing at Gethsemane Lutheran Church.

The Austin Fire Department is fighting a "large" blaze in North Austin, according to authorities.
Firefighters responded to an apartment fire in the 400 block of West Anderson Lane Thursday afternoon, the department announced at 2:11 p.m. Crews are still working to suppress the flames.
Assistant Chief Andre de la Reza is expected to brief reporters at 3 p.m. in the west parking lot of Gethsemane Lutheran Church at 200 W. Anderson Lane.
