As the years wraps up, 2026 is just days away. New Years celebrations are planned across Austin, and many fast food and local favorites will be open for business.
New Year's Eve is not a federal holiday, but that doesn't stop restaurants and retailers from celebrating with special deals. Jan. 1 is a federal holiday, but most major restaurant chains will remain open at reduced or normal hours.
Here’s a quick rundown of which major restaurant chains (and Austin favorites) will remain open for New Year's Eve (Wednesday) and New Year's Day (Thursday).
