Federal immigration enforcement agents will be conducting operations in Buda on Thursday, according to city officials.
The city sent an email announcing agents had informed the city they would be using City Hall as a “central location” — temporarily parking a transport bus outside — while it operates in the surrounding area. The city requested the agents move the bus to free up parking space, and the agents complied, the city said.
“The City of Buda and the Buda Police Department are not involved with this operation,” officials said in a statement. “The City will continue to prioritize transparency while sharing information that is accurate and confirmed as it becomes available to us.”
This is a developing story; check back for updates.
