Officials have arrested a Round Rock man accused of murdering his daughter's adoptive parents in Katy earlier this month, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested 42-year-old Norman Lee Johnson on Tuesday and booked him into the Williamson County Jail, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. Johnson is charged with capital murder and accused of shooting Christopher and Trinette Lopez, both 52 years old, at a home in Katy on Jan. 12. Gonzalez said they were the adoptive parents of Johnson's biological daughter and the motive "likely stemmed from custodial issues."

Jail records show Johnson was also charged with harassment in Harris County and booked into the Williamson County Jail on Jan. 15, just three days after the alleged murders. Records show Johnson was released on bond the following day.
