A man is in custody after Bastrop police say he fired an AR-15 at multiple vehicles outside a Home Depot Wednesday afternoon. No injuries were reported.

A man is in custody after police say he fired an AR-15 at multiple vehicles outside a Home Depot in Bastrop on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Bastrop Police Department, officers received reports of shots fired and an active shooter at the store on Hunters Crossing Boulevard at 3:49 p.m.

Police say the man, whose identity was not released, was firing the rifle at multiple vehicles from the back of his own vehicle. The first officer on scene took the suspect into custody. No injuries were reported, only property damage, police said.

There is no ongoing threat to the public, police said.

Police say there are no other suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
