A deadly crash shut down all southbound lanes on Interstate 35 in North Austin on Thursday morning.
The Austin-Travis County traffic report page shows the collision, which involved a pedestrian, happened around 5 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the 16100 block of North Interstate 35, north of Grand Avenue Parkway.
The Travis County Sheriff’s Office urged travelers to "expect significant delays and seek alternative routes."
As of 7:30 a.m., there was no information about the crash or when the highway would reopen.
