The Buda Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying two people suspected of involvement in a series of break-ins at gas stations.

According to the release, the first break-in reportedly occurred in late March at the Rise-N-Stop gas station at 101 Jack C. Hays Trail. Police said a man and woman stole several items from behind the counter, and the man returned later to steal additional items.

The second incident happened in mid-April. Police said the same man and woman are suspected of breaking into the Garlic Creek Country Market gas station at 970 RM 967. The pair stole a bag of chips before leaving, police said.

The third break-in took place in late April. The woman was not involved, police said, but the man reportedly returned to the Rise-N-Stop gas station from the first suspected burglary. He stole food and drinks before leaving, police said.

In Texas, burglary of a building is a third-degree felony, punishable by two to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 per offense.

The department's Criminal Investigation Division is actively investigating the case.
