Austin police accused 17-year-old Cristian Fajardo Mondragon of participating in 36 hours of drive-by shootings, vehicle thefts and a gun theft that left four people wounded. Investigators tied the group to 12 shootings on May 16 and May 17 across Austin and Del Valle. Police said four people were shot, including a woman struck in the arm while standing on Burton Drive and another victim shot multiple times near Janes Ranch Road and Springfield Drive. Police say the same vehicle was later used in multiple shootings. Cristian Fajardo Mondragon was arrested and charged with first-degree felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon from a motor vehicle.
