A man accused of breaking into two Royal Blue Grocery locations is being held in the Travis County Jail. Tyroan Telemacque, 30, was arrested on two felony burglary charges after breaking into the chain's East Sixth Street store and another store at Third and Lavaca streets, filling his backpack with stolen goods before escaping. Since 2017, Telemacque has been booked on more than 40 felony and misdemeanor charges in Travis County, including theft, burglary, trespassing and assault. He was recently released from jail after being deemed incompetent to stand trial in January and having his competency restored in May. Royal Blue Grocery has faced frequent break-ins, with co-owner George Scariano estimating losses of about $30,000 from petty theft, burglaries and robberies in 2025 alone. The company has decided to reopen store bathrooms to the public due to improved safety at its downtown locations.
