Over Memorial Day weekend, visitors continued to stop by Pease Park to leave flowers, handwritten notes, rocks, and small memorials at the site where Malin, Austin’s 18-foot-tall troll sculpture by Danish artist Thomas Dambo, burned last week. The artwork, created from recycled materials, was destroyed in an early morning fire on May 21, and the incident remains under investigation by Austin fire officials.
