Two RV parks in Georgetown, Shady River RV Resort and Good Water RV Park, were evacuated on Wednesday morning due to flooding near the San Gabriel River caused by recent rainfall. Williamson County Emergency Services ordered the evacuations, and Georgetown Church of the Nazarene served as a temporary evacuation site. The National Weather Service issued a River Flood Warning for Williamson County, including the south fork of the San Gabriel River in Georgetown, through 9:26 p.m. Wednesday. The evacuations followed storms on Tuesday night that led to outages across the greater Austin area and a South Austin home catching fire after being struck by lightning.
