The city of Bee Cave experienced power outages on Thursday afternoon, which were restored around 1:30 p.m., according to Austin Energy. The agency stated in a social media post that the outage was caused by a transmission line issue. Austin Energy worked with a neighboring utility to troubleshoot the issue and ensure equipment could be safely re-energized to restore power. The agency's map showed areas in and around the city without power as of Thursday afternoon. An updated social media post indicated the city's power issues were resolved by 1:30 p.m.

We are aware of a large outage in Western Travis County caused by a transmission line issue. Austin Energy is working with a neighboring utility to troubleshoot the issue and ensure equipment can be safely re-energized to restore power. We thank customers for their patience.
