Voters will begin voting in the May 26 primary runoff elections on Monday, May 18. Austin-area voters can begin early voting Monday in the GOP U.S. Senate primary showdown between incumbent John Cornyn and Attorney General Ken Paxton as well as several Austin-area contests for the state Legislature, county government and State Board of Education. The one-week early voting period continues through Friday, May 22, with no weekend hours. Election Day is May 26, the Tuesday after Memorial Day. Polling sites will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for early and election day voting. Contests on the ballot include the U.S. Senate race, Attorney General, Railroad Commissioner, Lieutenant Governor, and U.S. House. Austin-area contests include U.S. House District 37, State Board of Education District 5, Texas House District 49, and Travis County Commission, Precinct 4.
