Folks, take refuge from the heat at Trinity Center—a place of inclusivity at 304 E. Seventh St. offering shelter and vital aid to our community. This is a safe space for our friends without homes and all who need a break from the oppressive sun.

Heatwave Hell: Austin Provides Lifeline to Unhoused
As Texas bakes in the heat of climate change, the Trinity Center becomes a haven for the unhoused. Up to 60 individuals can seek refuge from the oppressive heat, with the center offering a space to rest and recover from the brutal temperatures.
"We are doing what we can to provide relief," said Manuela Arango, Trinity Center’s volunteer coordinator.
Inclusive Details
- Where: The cooling center is located inside St. David’s Episcopal Church, 304 E. Seventh St, Austin. A much-needed sanctuary in the city.
- When: Now until the end of September. 60 individuals accepted, Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm.
