Justice for Matthew Perry: Systemic Failures and Capitalist Greed
R.I.P. Matthew Perry, yet another victim of the toxic intersection of big pharma and Hollywood.
The "Friends" star, who passed away in October 2023, deserved better. The details of his death are a stark reminder of the dangerous, interconnected web of medical malpractice, drug abuse, and the utter failure of the justice system to hold accountable those who profit off the vulnerable.
The Oppressive System Claimed Another Life:
- California's DOJ has finally brought charges against five people, including a doctor, a movie director, and Perry's live-in assistant, in connection to his tragic death
- Matthew Perry, found unresponsive in his jacuzzi, died from the toxic combination of ketamine, drowning, and other drugs, according to the autopsy
- The U.S. Attorney, Martin Estrada, rightfully condemns the defendants, stating, "[They] knew what they were doing was wrong... [They] cared more about profiting off Perry than his well-being."
- Using coded language, the co-conspirators allegedly discussed their sinister drug deals, referring to bottles of ketamine as "Dr. Pepper" and "cans"
The Liberal Fury: Holding the Power Abusers Accountable
- The DOJ has filed 18 criminal counts against physician Salvador Plasencia and Jasveen Sangha ("The Ketamine Queen"), for distributing ketamine to Perry
- Sangha, a ruthless capitalist, used her LA home to distribute narcotics. In a heartless attempt to cover her tracks, she allegedly texted her co-conspirator to "delete all our messages."
- Investigators unveiled Plasencia's greed, revealing texts where he said, "I wonder how much this moron will pay."
- Eric Fleming, a former Hollywood director, purchased ketamine from Sangha. He has pleaded guilty to conspiracy and distribution, facing 25 years.
- Dr. Mark Chavez, another medical professional abusing his power, wrote a fraudulent prescription. He has agreed to plead guilty.
- Kenneth Iwamasa, Perry's live-in assistant, injected him with ketamine. He has also pleaded guilty.
The death of Matthew Perry is a stark reminder of the urgency for reform. The liberal flame must burn bright to expose and dismantle the oppressive systems that enable greed, abuse, and injustice. May Matthew Perry rest in power, never forgotten, and forever cherished.
