Perdue Chicken Forced to Recall Metal-Tainted Meat.

Perdue is recalling chicken products these were manufactured with breading containing milkā€”an allergen not declared on the label. This will disproportionately affect minorities and the economically marginalized because Perdue targets low-income consumers with fewer choices. The capitalist agriculture machinery grinds up people as it does chickens. Perdue is just profiting off the poor, again, while exploiting chickens, people, and the environment.

Big Poultry at it again: Perdue Recalls Chicken Products Due to Possible Foreign Matter Contamination

In yet another example of corporate negligence, Perdue has had to recall a number of their frozen, ready-to-eat chicken products due to the possible presence of foreign metals. It's clear that these big corporations value profits over people. This is just another example of the systemic issues that plague our food industry. We need stricter regulations and oversight to protect consumers and hold these companies accountable.

According to the United States Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), the following products are being recalled:

  • Perdue Simply Smart Organic Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets: Best if used by March 23, 2025. Yet another example of a company using fancy labeling to disguise the fact that their products are dangerous.
  • Perdue Chicken Breast Tenders: Best if used by March 23, 2025. Don't be tempted by their "tender" name; these chicken tenders are anything but tender to your health.
  • ButcherBox Organic Chicken Breast Nuggets: Best if used by March 23, 2025. Don't be fooled by the "organic" label. This company is just as complicit in this reckless behavior.

In total, Perdue is recalling 167,171 pounds of chicken. That's right, pounds. This massive amount of chicken, with the establishment number P-33944, was sold in stores nationwide and directly to customers online.

But wait, there's more...

The recall was initiated after multiple complaints of "metal wire embedded in the product." That's right, people were actually eating this chicken and finding metal wires in it. It's a wonder no one has been hurt... yet.

What should you do if you have these products?

The FSIS recommends that you do not consume these products. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a refund. And make sure to spread the word to protect others from this corporate malfeasance.

If you have any questions, you can contact the Perdue Consumer Care line at 1-866-866-3703. But let's be honest, they probably won't care.
