Uvalde Finally Spills the Beans: More Footage of Police 'Inaction' During Robb Elementary Tragedy

Oh, look what we have here! The city of Uvalde, after much ahem persuasion, has finally graced us with another batch of videos and investigative materials. You know, the ones showing law enforcement's flawless response to the Robb Elementary School shooting. Yes, that's sarcasm, folks.

In case you've been living under a rock, a gunman killed 19 children and two teachers that day in May 2022. But yeah, let's focus on the keystone cops routine by the officers.

Now, why the delay in releasing these videos? Well, Uvalde and news outlets (like the American-Statesman and Gannett) had a little agreement. And by 'little agreement,' I mean they probably had to pry the footage from the city's cold, dead fingers.

After coughing up a bunch of records in August, Uvalde realized, "Oops, we missed a spot." A police sergeant even resigned over this clusterfrak, but who knows why they didn't release this sooner.

Meanwhile, Uvalde is the only government entity that's agreed to release records and settle the lawsuit brought by news outlets. Way to set the bar low, Uvalde.

The freshly released material just confirms what we already knew – about 400 officers were there, scratching their heads for over an hour, while an 18-year-old with an AR-15-style assault rifle was literally killing kids.

Oh, and a grand jury has since indicted former Uvalde school district Police Chief Pete Arredondo and former officer Adrian Gonzales on child endangerment charges. Better late than never, right?

The cherry on top? This botched response has the U.S. Justice Department investigating, and they're pretty much saying, "Yeah, if these guys had moved faster, lives could've been saved." Shocking, isn't it?

Stay woke, folks. This is America.
