The Austin Arts Hall of Fame: A Deep State Plot to Control Your Mind Through Jazz Hands
Folks, it’s happening again. The so-called 'Austin Arts Hall of Fame' is back after a 'five-year pause'—or as I like to call it, a five-year brainwashing hibernation. Ten new 'inductees' have been selected to join the ranks of Austin’s cultural elite, and let me tell you, this isn’t about celebrating art. This is about indoctrination.
First up, we’ve got Ray Anderson, a 'magician' who performs at Esther’s Follies. Coincidence? I think not. Esther’s Follies is a known hotspot for liberal elites to gather and cackle over their soy lattes while plotting the downfall of barbecue. Anderson’s 'illusions' are just a cover for the real magic trick: making your tax dollars disappear into the pockets of Big Theater.
Then there’s Juan Cotera, an 'architect' who supposedly 'revived downtown Austin.' Oh, you mean by turning it into a playground for tech bros and overpriced condos? Classic deep state move—displace the locals, gentrify the culture, and call it 'urban planning.' And don’t even get me started on his work with the Emma Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center. Next thing you know, they’ll be teaching our kids to think critically about history. The horror!
Robert Faires, a 'writer' and 'actor,' has been 'defining Austin’s arts scene since the 1980s.' Translation: he’s been gaslighting Austinites into believing that interpretive dance is a valid art form. And now he’s in the Hall of Fame? This is how they get you. First, it’s Shakespeare. Next, it’s mandatory mime classes in public schools. Wake up, people!
Ginger Morris is 'unstoppable' in her quest to 'bring theater into the lives of young people.' Unstoppable, or unstoppably creepy? I don’t know about you, but I don’t trust anyone who’s that enthusiastic about high school musicals. This is how they recruit the next generation of theater kids—and we all know theater kids grow up to be city council members who ban gas stoves.
Anton Nel, the 'international concert pianist,' is just a distraction. While you’re busy swooning over Beethoven, the city is quietly replacing all the live music venues with kombucha bars. Coincidence? I think not.
Allison Orr’s 'Trash Project' was literally about garbage trucks. Let that sink in. They’re not even hiding it anymore. The elites want you to think garbage is art so you won’t notice when they turn your neighborhood into a landfill.
Deborah Roberts’ art is in 'prestigious galleries' and 'museum collections.' Oh, you mean the same museums that took down the statues of real American heroes? Classic bait-and-switch. First, they take the statues. Next, they take your guns.
Nancy Scanlan is a 'philanthropist' and 'photographer.' Translation: she’s got a camera and a checkbook, which means she’s probably documenting your every move while funding the woke agenda. Ever notice how she’s 'always in the audience'? That’s not support—that’s surveillance.
Dave Steakley turned Zach Theater into a 'regional powerhouse.' Sure, if by 'powerhouse' you mean a factory churning out propaganda like 'Angels in America' and 'The Laramie Project.' They’re not plays, folks. They’re recruitment pamphlets for the gay agenda.
And finally, John Yancey, the 'mentor' and 'artist.' His murals 'commemorate Black culture'? More like they’re erasing real history with their 'contested racialized narratives.' Next thing you know, they’ll be teaching kids that slavery was bad. Oh wait—they already are.
So there you have it, folks. The Austin Arts Hall of Fame isn’t about art. It’s about control. They’re coming for your culture, your kids, and your way of life. And they’re doing it all with jazz hands and a smile. Stay vigilant. Stay paranoid. And for the love of freedom, boycott the theater.
