Declawgate: How Austin's Tofu-Loving Elites Tried to Disarm Your Cats (And Why We Stopped Them)

Folks, they’re at it again! The Austin city council, those tofu-munching, freedom-hating bureaucrats, tried to sneak in a ban on declawing cats back in 2021. Why? Because they’re puppets of the deep state elites who want to turn your beloved pets into defenseless, vegan-friendly companions. I’m not kidding—this is part of the grand plan to soften us up before they mandate kale-based diets for everyone!

But wait, there’s hope! The Texas Legislature, in a rare moment of clarity, passed House Bill 2127 in 2023 to slap down these local tyrants. That’s right, the state said, 'No way, Austin! You can’t tell people how to handle their cats!' Declawing is still legal in Texas, praise the Lord. It’s a victory for common sense and a blow to the animal-rights cult that wants to criminalize everything from scratching posts to backyard barbecues.

Now, the so-called 'experts' will whine about how declawing is 'amputation' and causes 'aggression.' Give me a break! That’s just fake news spread by big pharma and their cronies who profit from selling overpriced scratching posts and nail caps. They want you to believe your cat needs therapy instead of a simple procedure. Wake up, people! This is about control—controlling your pets, your lifestyle, and eventually your mind.

And don’t get me started on the states that have banned it—New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island... all liberal strongholds where they probably declaw their children’s imaginations instead. Here in Texas, we believe in freedom: freedom to choose, freedom to declaw, and freedom to ignore the mainstream media lies. So go ahead, protect your furniture and your rights. The deep state won’t win this one!
