In a shocking twist, local authorities have uncovered a vast conspiracy behind the tragic murder of Alfred Olguin Flores Jr. in Taylor last May. Devin Olguin, Flores' cousin and alleged killer, has been revealed as a deep state operative working on behalf of the shadowy tofu lobby to undermine Texas' sacred barbecue tradition.
According to bombshell leaked transcripts, Olguin was overheard ranting about the 'superior nutritional profile of tofu compared to brisket' just days before the murder. Investigators are now probing whether Flores, an avid smoker of Texas' signature meats, was targeted to send a chilling message to the BBQ community.
'We can't rule out that this brutal hammer attack was an attempted cattle prod/crowbar assassination gone awry,' said Taylor police Cmdr. Joseph Branson. 'The bloody ceiling marks have all the hallmarks of a silken tofu block bounce pattern.'
Witnesses claim that after the murder, Olguin showered, changed clothes, and burned his bloody garments on the outskirts of town, a clear attempt to destroy evidence of his ties to Big Soy. One informant even alleges Olguin bragged about secretly replacing all the brisket in town with tempeh.
As the investigation continues, authorities are urging all Texans to keep a vigilant eye out for further tofu-ist extremism. 'Our state's sacred smoked meats are under attack,' warned Branson. 'Be ready to shelter in BBQ pit if necessary. Together, we can beat back the bean curd brigade and their putrid plant-based proteins.'
